School Cross Country
What: School Cross Country is a day to encourage all children’s participation in a modified Cross Country Race. All children will participate in the Challenge 8 event (Year 1-4) or the Challenge 10 event (Year 5-8). These are team events earning house points for each child. The points are determined by how many times they run/walk/skip around the course in 8 or 10 mins.
When: Thursday 17 May, at Weedons School on the back field and surrounding areas.
Who: EVERYBODY! Year 1-4, Year 5-8 and Zone trialists (Zone trialists will sign up before the trials begin).
Why: Giving all children the opportunity to Discover/Explore/Engage and take away the pressure for others.
What to bring: Children need to come to school in house colours and appropriate footwear for participating in Cross Country. Warm over clothing is also needed in case of cold weather.
