Tēnā koutou. Nau mai, haere mai, Welcome to Weedons School - Te kura O karamū.
I’m Rob Naysmith and it is my privilege to lead this amazing school with wonderful children, skilled, hard working staff, and a very supportive community.
Here at Weedons School we put children at the heart of everything we do. We are focused on realising our vision: ‘To grow our learners to become confident, caring and contributing citizens’, and are committed to our Values: Whanaungatanga, Respect (Manaakitanga), Personal Best, Honesty, and Responsibility. Our Values are known as ‘The Weedons Way’ which is a big focus here at Weedons School. Student well-being is of critical importance. We make sure we provide a school environment that ensures children are safe and happy both physically and emotionally.
Our curriculum consists of high quality teaching and learning programmes that focus on individual learners. Strong foundation skills in Literacy and Mathematics are a critical part of our programmes as well as providing a range of opportunities in order for learners to experience and excel in Sport, Arts and Culture. We encourage our learners to take up new challenges and make the most of the opportunities offered.
Education is a partnership between home and school and we value open communication and a strong sense of community with our parents and caregivers. Thank you for taking the time to have a look at our website. I look forward to meeting you and showing you around our fantastic School.
